backport for lucid

Asked by javierpb

Why do not backport the stable package for current LTS version?
I've tried to compile, and changing dh python2 with python support is enough to build.

What version do you want?
Is there a PPA?

I did mean backport the stable natty release (2.1.0-0ubuntu7)

There is only one PPA for lucid, but is a developement version older than the one for oneiric.

Have you seen that link before? I found it with near-zero effort...

It's not part of Ubuntu's policy to backport everything to LTS. You can request it, but this isn't the right place to do that: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates

Can you help with this problem?
