Not able to clean the overlay partition after reboot eveytime thriugh overlay script under /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/init-bottom/overlayroot

Not able to clean the overlay partition after reboot everytime through overlay script under /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/init-bottom/overlayroot

I have added below line after comment #mount the backing device to $root_rw
• In the else of the If statement “rm -r -f ${root_rw}/*”

But after reboot, i see that /media/root-rw folder contains temp files which i created for test before reboot.
So please help me if there is any other way to configure clean up overlay partition after every reboot
