Claws-mail Clam AntiVirus plug in: clamav logs show "Access denied" for files in ~/.claws-mail/mimetmp

Asked by tamille1

Clam AntiVirus plug in: clamav logs show "Access denied" for files in ~/.claws-mail/mimetmp

Configuration: Claws-Mail 2.19.0
Directories ~/.claws-mail and ~/.claws-mail/mimetmp assigned to group "clamav",
and group execute (traversal) permission set for these directories.

This setup has worked for me for quite some time. I noticed the new log entries recently.

It appears that claws may be creating files in ~/.claws-mail/mimetmp that have only owner
permissions set, to "rw", and with no other permissions. This would prevent my
configuration from working. Since it used to work, I assume this is due to some recent
update? Is this necessary or desirable, or is it a bug?
