How have you tried to "upgrade"?

To force update the ClamAV virus database in the terminal you can use the command: sudo freshclam

Hi,

We need a little more detail. How are you upgrading it? Through a GUI? Or commandline? Do you mean the antivirus signatures won't update or the GUI isn't being upgraded? Do you get an error message? What version of ClamTk are you running right now?

If you can answer some/all of these, we can probably give you a hand.

Thanks,
Dave M

Sudo freshclam; did not update from 5.09 to 5.15; Signatures update and are current. sudo apt-get update; also did not update to current version 5.15 Trusty. Nor did running "gkso clamtk". I have had the same problems in the past years with ClamTk.

I have run "sudo freshclam" but to no avail.

Hi,

First, you don't need to do the "sudo freshclam" - you can update signatures from within the program itself.

Second, freshclam updates signatures, and I believe you'd like to update the GUI program itself, right?

Ok, here you go - download this:

https://bitbucket.org/dave_theunsub/clamtk/downloads/clamtk_5.15-1_all.deb

and double-click to install (or upgrade, as it were).

Try that, and see how far we get, and post back.

Thanks,
Dave M

Thanks to all;
     Dave your download information worked great. I have finally got my ClamTk5.15 in and working. Just completed a scan with the App. Thanks again to all.
