Will there be a non-EOL clamav version for Ubuntu 20.04 after clamav 0.103's EOL?

Asked by lobo tommy

Hi there!
On Ubuntu 20.04LTS, the newest clamav package version downloadable via apt-get is 0.103.
However, clamav 0.103's EOL will be in 09/2024.

Does that mean there won't be any supported clamav versions available for 20.04 from 09/24 on?
Or can we expect a newer version before that?

Best regards,
Tommy

If you look at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clamav then you can see that for Ubuntu focal the initial version of clamav in the Ubuntu repositories was 0.102.2 and later there was an upgrade to 0.103.*
I am quite confident that a similar action will also be done to replace clamav 0.103.
There is still more than half a year left until its EOL date,

Can you help with this problem?
