Can we expect clamav 1.x within ubuntu 22.04 ?

Asked by Martin Trommer

Currently clamav is in version 0.103.8 within Ubuntu 22.04. This clamav version is EOL on 14. September 23 (https://docs.clamav.net/faq/faq-eol.html).
Can we expect a clamav version 1.X (LTS)?

The new version clamav 1.0.1+ Debian has it in testing, still under development.

Remember Ubuntu copies the Debian packaging system to avoid duplicate packages.
Not sure if it will be backported for Jammy.

It is now 4 weeks until clamAV 0.103.X is End of Life, and will no longer receive security updates after this date.

Do we know yet if Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy) will be receiving version 1.X sometime soon?

Can you help with this problem?
