ClamAV needs updates

Asked by Istiak Ferdous

The current ClamAV stable release is 0.101.1 but in ubuntu's package archive it's 0.100.2+dfsg-1ubuntu0.18.04.1. Is there any hope it'll update soon? Any other advice is appreciated.

I am hoping this package will update to 0.101.1 from package maintainers.

I suggest you report a bug. You can do this by running:

ubuntu-bug clamav

If the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated sooner rather than later. Ubuntu is not a rolling release distribution and packages are not updated simply because a new stable version is available.
