Chromium 80.0.3987.162-0ubuntu1 not published in Bionic-security

Asked by Johnny Lately

A recent article pointed out that there are severe security
vulnerabilities that are fixed in Chromium 80.0.3987.162 but I noticed
that it is being pushed only for the Focal beta rather than more
generally for Xenial-Security and Bionic-Security.

Any guidance on whether people should just install the deb's manually
from the pool for now or wait until it rolls in?

Just be patient, work is in progress, see
https://launchpad.net/~canonical-chromium-builds/+archive/ubuntu/stage
I assume it needs a certain amount of testing before it is published.
