Just go to the Google site and grab the deb for your architecture.

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a

I use Chrome in 12.04 without issue

David
For the last few days Adobe Flash has been blocked by Firefox. 14.04 was blocked three of four days. 12.04 was blocked one day. Both are up and running now. I ran " sudo apt-get update " to get 14.04 running. You may need to run the sudo apt-get update on your 12.04. If you Google Firefox blocking Adobe Flash, you can see the problem they had. I can use Chrome on my 12.04.

@David: please read this:

Mozilla decided to block Adobe Flash a few days ago. You can use HTML5 in any modern browser to watch Youtube video's instead of using Adobe Flash, which is known for its numerous security vulnerabilities.
