pepflashplugin-installer synaptic package failure

Asked by Simon Bateman

I get a message:
----------------------
Failure to download extra data files

The following packages requested additional data downloads after package installation, but the data could not be downloaded or could not be processed.

pepflashplugin-installer

The download will be attempted again later, or you can try the download again now. Running this command requires an active Internet connection.

I did have pepper flash running on Chromium with Ubuntu 12.04, but I have upgraded to: 13.04 with Chromium 28

Thanks, but I had looked there!

The chrome//plugins shows that I have Shockwave Flash 11.8 r800 installed and enabled, also 11.2 r202

loading any site with video content informs me that Shockwave Flash cannot be loaded, to get it to work I have to disable 11.8 and rely on 11.2

I have rechecked /etc/chromium-browser/default

reinstalling pepflashplugin-installed still fails

Then you should report a bug against this package or inform the maintainer of the PPA you used.
