Chromium out of date on 12.04

Asked by James

Can chromium for Ubuntu 12.04 please be updated to the latest version? I really think it would be a good idea since the current version is only 18 something

I suggest you report a bug, if there are significant bug fixes etc it will be updated sooner.

Every new version close a lot of security tickets
I think you should not wait for bug reports for updating

actionparship, the chromium-daily/stable PPA is out of date and still at version 18, so that's unfortunately not a solution. Thanks for the link anyway.

AFAIK, chromium 18 has various known security issues.

https://launchpad.net/~chromium-daily/+archive/beta?field.series_filter=precise

Built 21 weeks ago, you could contact the devs to see what the deal is with upkeep and such
