I installed Google Chromium and it has blocked ubuntu software Centre which is a blank page

Asked by Faith Freeman

I installed google chromium and it is now the default browser, but it seems to be blocking my access to ubuntu software centre, i want to disable it and remove it but don't know how without being able to get into the software centre. there is no obvious button to disable or remove it from my system. I have checked all the obvious places. the preferences on the application and my home folder.

Chromium browser will not stop software centre running. Its a totally different app.

If you want to remove Chromium you can run:

sudo apt-get --purge remove chromium-browser

But it will not fix your software centre.
