Backspace No Longer Brings You to Previous Page in Chromium

Asked by Neal Gamradt

In Ubuntu 11.04, it was possible to hit the back button in the Chromium web browser and that would bring you back one page in that tab's browser history. That keyboard shortcut appears to be disabled now in 11.10. Please put this feature back as it was a nice keyboard shortcut (and it is a shortcut that is supported in Windows and Mac). Thanks.

Did you upgrade or did you clean install? You can use ALT+left cursor to go back too.

It appears that this was removed from the latest release for Chromium for Linux and somehow I hadn't noticed. I was aware of the other shortcut, but was used to using backspace. It appears there is an extension if I want to get this functionality back. I will close out this issue for now.
