Google-chrome crashes while clicking links from other applications

Hi Team,

I have noticed a bug with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Xenial in which google-chrome crashes while clicking on web links from other applications like Slack, Mate-terminal, Eclipse, Vim etc, I did some extensive research into this and I think chrome-gnome-shell is the reason for the crash.

The package has dependency both on gnome-shell and ubuntu-gnome-desktop, can you please look into this and remove chrome-gnome-shell from these packages :

apt-cache rdepends chrome-gnome-shell
chrome-gnome-shell
Reverse Depends:
 - gnome-shell
 - ubuntu-gnome-desktop

Removing the package as dependency from other packages is only touching the symptoms and not curing the root cause.

I suggest that you create a bug report for the crashes that you encounter.
