Webcam (Logitech Pro 9000) no longer workes since update to 12.04 beta 1

Asked by Ariyau

Webcam (Logitech Pro 9000) no longer workes since update to 12.04 beta 1. It worked perfectly in 11.10. No video is shown in cheese or in skype. The LED lights up on the camera when Cheese or skype is trying to conect to the camera but no video is shown. The light does not dis engage even when the program shuts down.

Any one else having a similar issue ?

Thanks

Have you reported a bug? Precise is NOT ready and NOT stable so you will get issues like this up to and even a few weeks after release

Just wanted to add that this type of camera works for me, that is, the video selfview appears in both ekiga and linphone-3. However, the video is not smooth, as it was in 11.10. It might be a driver issue. I get the following in the logs.

[88060.880826] uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device <unnamed> (046d:0990)
