Asked by Ian L Jameson

I just recently downloaded XUbuntu 11.10 v i138iso and can no longer download my pictures from my Fiji Finepix S1600 camera. I use on Ubuntu 10.4. Any suggestions as to how I can do this please? Thank you.

Have the device attached and run:

lsusb

You will see an 8 character hex ID which will identify the device. Use that to find guides.

Tried this on the terminal but just came up with data and nothing elese and so nothing happened. NOt sure what I should be doing Please can you tell me more. I am still having a problem to download pictures from my camera. For a start the computer won't even recognise that a camera has been connected with a USB lead. What can I do about this please?
