Dear Marco,
I'm having trouble giving you the information you requested because on the
computer I'm trying to install on cannot connect to the internet. Ubuntu
crashed and I lost the manufacturers drivers for the mother board. So I
located the drivers (I think) and put them on a disk to download. Now I'm
stuck because when you put an CD into the drive Ubuntu (I re
downloaded 11.10) it just opens the file menu and does not take any action.
 So how do I get Ubuntu to ask me what to do when putting in media (the
setting are set to "Ask what to do") and how do I download these drivers.
 What I tried is to click on each of the files and listen to the CD drive
reading and when the sound stopped I clicked through the rest of the
downloads I put on the list. This was unsatisfying because Ubuntu gave me
no indication any downloading was taking place. Can you help with this
problem first?
