in ubuntu 10.10 i knew how to find and use my webcam. in 11.04 i cant find it.where did it go?

Your webcam is most probably on the same place as before, next to the LED. ;-)
If you are looking for a tool to access the cams pictues, create video and make snapshots, you might be looking for "Cheese".
If it is not installed open the Ubuntu Software Center and search for "cheese" to install it.
