cam wont work
cam wont work it did one time, now it wont turn on dose not work with cheese or skype the cam is a logitech c500

what is a isusb?? were can I find this? I'm new to this stuff only had a computer for less then a year.

Copy the commands EXACTLY
the commands are
lsusb; lsb-release -a
These are lowercase versions of
LSUSB; LSB_RELEASE -A
I gave the EXACT command so you can copy and paste them, if you run bad commands you can break your OS.

try plugging your cam into another usb port and see if it works.
there apparently is a problem with the c500 that makes it require a certain type of usb port before it works.
if it doesn't work, i'd suggest you get a new cam.

what I found out, I plug the cam in and it works with cheese but when I restart my computer it dose not work, did this in every port. also it would work on the skype test but not on a call, but the mic in the cam would work. just no video. but when I restart its off there to. weird hope some one will fig this out some day.

I plugged in two cams the old one still works, the new one has a mic built in, now when I turn it on some time it turns on the old cam and the next time it pick the new on but the resolution looks like a old tv from 1952.
