web cams

     I'd like to know if the web cam that I buy will work with an Ubuntu OS. I'm looking at :
Microsoft MICROSOFT LIFECAM SHOW NX 8000 - RETAIL(RLA-00004(LCNX8000))
and:
Macally MEGACAM 2.0MP Webcam with Built-In Mic
and:
Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 USB 2.0 Webcam ...
These are 90, 32, and 70 dollars respecitvelly.
Will any of these work, what should I buy, or please recommend one for me in the same range of prices if possible.

The only web cam that I can comment on is the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 (ID 046d:0990) which has worked without a hitch for me for several years. Another version (ID 046d:0899) works equally well. Plug it in and it is ready to use. Works well in Skype too.
