Installation of Logitech C910 video Cam

Asked by Cynthia Hernandez

I am total novice w/Ubuntu. Ubuntu 10.4 installed. Tried to install Logitech C910 video cam. Ubuntu could not recognize Logitech install disk. What now? I am a Windows baby and I am lost. Can someone walk me thru the install process?

your windoze disk is useless in linux operating systems like ubuntu.
plug in your cam and start the program called cheese to see if your cam works.

This says it is supported by UVC. The drivers are already built into the kernel, so you should, in theory, be able to just plug it in and go.
