Asked by navycat

The new version 0.21 was released on github on March 22nd. The repositories still have the old 0.20. Could you package the new 0.21 version? Thanks.

Additionally you have to be aware that Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian, and also Debian has only version 0.20
The first step for bringing celluloid version 0.21 into Ubuntu is creating a bug report in Debian that they upgrade their version.

Remark: for a workaround, there is a PPA with version 0.21, (standard caveats for PPAs apply of course)

There is a PPA here

You can use it with:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xuzhen666/gnome-mpv
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Obviously this comes with the usual caveats of a PPA but it gives the version number you are after

This is not a bug.
Why a bug report.
There is no version for impish in the specified repository. I would like to see 0.21 in a future impish.
I asked the question here because the maintainer of this package is listed as Debian Multimedia Team.
I was hoping to hear a response from them.

"Why a bug report."

Requesting changes to a package is done via bug reports, even if there is nothing "wrong" with the current version.

Can you help with this problem?
