Castxml outdated in 18.04

Asked by Tommaso Pecorella

Hi,

ns-3 (www.nsnam.org) uses CastXML to scan the C++ source and produce Python bindings.
However, the actual CastXML packaged in Bionic (18.04) is rather outdated, and it cause serious issues. As a consequence, we're forced to build it from the sources, with a *lot* of troubles.

The CastXML version shipped with Cosmic seems to be recent enough to support ns-3 but we can not ask our users to use 18.10. Already having a requirement about 18.04 is a kinda hard requirement.

Is it possible to upgrade the 18.04 CastXML ?

Thanks,

T.

If you have a bug reported then you don't need a question as well

I first started with the question, then I decided that a bug report was more appropriate, sorry.

Can you help with this problem?
