About /etc/apt/sources.list Language

Asked by LTSmash

I'm actually a native spanish speaker. So I use Kubuntu in Spanish. but there's something that doesn't makes sense. Why in the sources.list the comments are on english? A script to change the lenguage of the commments should be implemented...

Don't you agree?

Every configuration file in /etc has comments in english.
I am a native french speaker but I don't think It is really needed to translate those because they all should be modifiable via a GUI which is translated.
Example:
Navigate to System->Administration->Software sources to modify repositories.

But some users want to actually learn about the system, and not how to use a GUI...

I don't know if this would be helpful. If you want to learn something about the system behind you have to understand english anyway. Scripts to change the comments into another language would be waste of developer's time in my eyes. Those who use the system don't want to touch the files but configure via GUI. I am also not a native english speaker, by the way.
