I have a ati radoen hd3870, and try to use fglrx driver in casper.
I put blacklist radoen in initrd's /etc/modprobe.d/ and put fglrx.ko to initrd's /lib/modules/2.6.32-24-generic/updates/dkms
and create /root/etc/X11/xorg.conf in initrd/scripts/casper-bottom/20xconfig.

Do you have any suggestions about the best opportunity to set the long alternatives of fglrx?

or use jockey-text -C when the rootfs system is booting up.

or may I just use chroot /root sudo update-alternatives in initrd/scripts/casper-bottom/20xconfig?

Yes chroot works!

Now, I can run ubuntu with fglrx driver in USB disk.
