KFX conversion failed

hello,
i am using calibre on linux , when i try to convert an e-book from any format to "kfx" format, i keep getting an error during conversion
this is the error:

calibre, version 5.11.0
ERROR: KFX conversion failed: Exception('Wine registry file /home/mhnoah/.wine/user.reg not found. Ensure that Wine is correctly installed.')

i installed wine and i keep getting the error

what should i do ??

Which operating system are you running and how did you install calibre?

i am running pop os
and i installed it from the app shop

You might consider replacing your version with the newest one

PopOS has it's own forum. PopOS's support is entirely separate from Ubuntu's. I suggest you post on the PopOS forum

None of the "Ubuntu based" distributions are supported here

calibre is an exception.
For whatever reason on https://answers.launchpad.net/calibre it tells:
calibre questions are tracked in: calibre in Ubuntu.

So apparently they (mis-)use the Ubuntu question area for all Operating Systems, even for questions for calibre on Windows.
