Extension that no longer works after Calibre update

Asked by freikland

Hello,

I am currently running Ubuntu 18.04 (kernel 4.15.0-43-generic) and Caliber 3.36.
No problem to complain about.

Only, after updating Caliber to version 3.37 then 3.38, a personal extension that I use regularly (since many previous versions) no longer appears in the interface:
Neither in the main toolbar nor in the context menu?
I can not use this extension anymore. Also, to continue using it, I have to go back to Caliber 3.36; last to work properly with this one.

Is it just a problem of access and / or incompatibility?
Do you have any suggestions for me?

cordially

There is no calibre version 3.36, 3.37 or 3.38 available in the standard repositories for Ubuntu 18.04. So you apparently are using software from a foreign source.

You probably better ask such questions in the support area of the calibre project https://calibre-ebook.com/help
There is even a specific subforum about plugins for calibre https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=237

Hi Manfred,

I'm just using the official site, with the first binary command, here:
