Enabling features for calendarserver 3.2 in Quantal

Asked by Jane Atkinson

Calendarserver 3.2 in Quantal by default has calDAV enabled and the calendars support Events and Tasks, but not Memos.

What do I need to do to enable the cardDAV function, and also add Memo capability to the calendars?

I suggest you report a bug, Quantal has a lot of features missing and bugs all the way up to and even a little after release.

I think that filing a bug is the most useful of the two answers. It's entirely possible that the Ubuntu package has been compiled with specific options, and asking questions about that on a generic mailing list could be problematic.

Thanks.

I've since discovered that the Ubuntu version of calendarserver does support cardDAV (addressbooks), and the very latest SyncEvolution (unstable) will write to it.

However, Evolution itself has a bug or limitation in the remote addressbook function, which means it can read calendarserver addressbooks but not write to them.

As for memos, it seems that this is not a supported function in calendarserver (http://trac.calendarserver.org/changeset/5955 if anyone's interested).
