Hi please try this:
1. Open a terminal by hitting CTRL + ALT + T
2. Insert and run this command:
sudo apt-get remove cairo-dock

3. Restart.

do you mean desklets?

if you can select them, just reset them to appear on the dock, then right click to remove the desklets.

yeah, it's kind of tricky, but i've done it a few times.

or do you mean you want the dock to disappear/hide?

to do this, you have to right click on the dock and select configure cairo.

the steps are unnecessarily complicated.

i don't remember where the settings are, so you'll have to go into advanced mode and search through each of the options. if i remember correctly, it appears at the top of one of the option screens. it will say something like "appearance" or "behaviour"

Can you help with this problem?
