Confused about the end of the install process (CPU)

Asked by Ken L

I've tried to do the preconfigured binary install using caffe-cpu (mentioned here: http://caffe.berkeleyvision.org/install_apt.html)

The module I'm looking to install says I need to add this to .bashrc:

PYTHONPATH=/path/to/caffe/python:$PYTHONPATH
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/path/to/caffe/build/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

I can't seem to figure out what the actual paths should be.

Ubuntu puts the caffe binary in /usr/bin but I'm not sure what these URLs should be. Any suggestions for how to debug this (fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04) ?

Thanks
