Will cacti be updated to 0.8.7g for lucid?

I see that the cacti package has been updated for maverick and natty, but not for lucid. Will this package be updated for lucid?

"they" say packages aren't updated because it would "break" the system.

personally, i just go to the software's site and download and install the newer versions myself.

but it's been recommended on here that you log a bug report and indicate what's been changed in the latest version and present a case to have it included and it might be updated.

The command to add it is:

sudo apt-get install python-software-properties; sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wiktel/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade
