Package brother-cups-wrapper-laser isn't installed when printer Brother HL2030 is connected first time

Asked by Michael Greifeneder

After a fresh installation of Ubuntu Hardy I connected my printer Brother HL-2030 via USB and got a message that it is installed and ready to use. However it wasn't set up with drivers from package "brother-cups-wrapper-laser", but definied as Raw Printer and printing didn't work. After installing the package and change model to "Brother HL-2060 Foomatic/hl1250" it works.

My question: How is this supposed to work and shouldn't the printer detection install and select a necessary driver package? May I fill in a bug?
