Burning Image to Disc

Asked by Alan Cline

My previous question is reported as being solved but would like to submit related question .

Was able to download 9.10 iso file and it seems fine . Now in burning process using Brasero and process is Burning Image to Disc - Creating Image Checksum . I set burn process at lowest speed available ( 16 ) and has been burning for over an hr even though estimated remaining time reads as 10 m - 11sec .

I also have noticed that i do not hear anything from the burner , no noise so i don't know if i have a problem or if the process just takes forever to burn at a 16x speed .

All opinions appreciated

I have noticed it takes a long while to burn in brasero. I suggest gnomebaker

Seem there is a setting in brasero to make it test the b urn and/or cache the data to RAM or somesuch, either way whatever it does I've seen the same.

Make sure you MD5 test the ISO before burning so you know the data is good

Can you help with this problem?
