Write Error When Burning Video DVD ISO

Asked by vishnu on 2009-07-09

when burning video discs only i get the following log after a write error. this is happening in 9.04 ubuntu. i also get issues with K3B. however, data discs burn fine. are there any extra dependancies or libraries i need to install. i used to convert avi files to dvd iso images all the time in 8.10 of ubuntu using devede then burn with brasero with no issues.

since upgrading to jaunty i have the error below when burning.

Can you burn other types of disk ok? Are you burning as slowly as you can? Have you tried a different media brand? Is the media you have clean when you use it.

vishnu (ingrouille) said : #2

i've tried 2 different brands of 16x compatible discs at 8x, 12x, 16x

i'm able to burn data discs fine. it's just iso files of video discs or VOB formated video layouts.

vishnu (ingrouille) said : #3

damn - i hit problem solved by accident. is there a way to change that back?
