I cant click on the "burn" button. please help!!

Asked by clare

I'm trying to burn a DVD with Brasero. i selected project-new project-new video project. i dragged the video from my desktop to inside of the box, where it loaded. i pressed the burn button. the "disk burning setup" window appeared, and i selected the blank DVD-R that i wanted to copy the movie on to. The video format i kept at native format, and the aspect ratio i kept at native aspect ratio, because i didn't really know what that meant. here is my dilemma: there are two buttons at the bottom of the "disk burning setup" window. one is cancel, and one is burn. i want to click burn, but for some reason, it is grey and wont let me click on it.

p.s.- i also cannot click on "properties" in the "disk burning setup" window.
thank you!

I have the same problem as Clare. I can burn other type of projects, but I cannot "click" on the burn button of the video projects, because is not enabled.

I've got 3 *.avi files and 1 *.mp4 files in a project in which the Burn button will not illuminate in order to proceed. I've had this problem for quite a while. I am able to play these files, but I cannot burn them to DVD.

Pop me an email and I can send you a screenshot, if necessary.

I just tried Brasero to make a video project for the first time, and I have the same problem. It looks just like in Warren Tan's screenshot. What's going on?

Brasero only make DVD when you have build already the structure on your hard disk. So Yo won't be able to burn a DVD with Brasero if you don't have all the files of the DVD first. For what you want to do you must use another program like Devede. Try it.

OK, thanks, that seems to work!

I was confused, since Brasero lets one start doing this, so it seems to be supposed to do it. But it is simply not the tool for that job, I guess.

Can you help with this problem?
