run brasero with root privileges

Asked by Steve Worokevich

I have an HP Pavilion 6000 and have Ubuntu 10.04 installed. All works well except my DVD drive. It does work but will not write lightscribe image to disk. I get error (using LaCie) #4224 - root privelages required when trying to write the image. I am Administrator, I have also tried to run from terminal and get the same message when actually trying to burn image to disk,
I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions?

What app are you burning with.

If it's brasero (under Gnome) run:
gksudo brasero

for K3b (under KDE) run:
kdesu k3b

and so on, this will run the burner with the elevated access it needs.
