Having Problems Burning A cd..

Well, i just got this brand New Computer from this repair shop down the road, Now Im trying to burn some song's that i download off the web to a CD... The Cd/DvDCreater is only burning the file images and cannot locate the cd driver.. i tried ejecting the blank disk but nothing happened. Where do i start? Do i mount the cd driver, or is the problem somewhere else .. please help....

No you do not mount the CD. Brasero has the option to make an audio CD. If it doesn't then gnomebaker certainly does

Ive tried on Brasero as well same problem. my cdrom driver does not even detect when a cd was placed in..

if you run:

sudo lshw -C disk; sudo lshw -C drive

Do you see the optical drive?

You have a Seagate 15Gb drive and a CDROM drive. There is no burner in your system. Is your CD burner external?

Not with a CDROM, no. It can only read data and audio CDs, no DVD and no burning of any sort
