Failure to burn CD with cd/dvd Creator

I try to burn a cd using CD/DVD Creator and it fails, no error message, the window just blinks out!

I am using ubuntu 10.10.

Try installing gnomebaker instead. I have seen (and experienced) a lot of issues with Brasero (which that app launches)

Remember if the CD is to be bootable you should burn it slowly.

Gnomebaker worked - shows this is not a hardware problem.
