How can I backup to multiple cds/dvds using Brasero?

Sure, if you use tar you can archive your files and you can tell tar to make 700Mb blocks. You can then burn each to an individual CD. When you need to extract the files simply read the tar files and you wil be able to restore.

It could be better to use a backup software, like DejaDup. Unfortunately, I never used this software (even if I should) and can't help you more.
