Brasero in 10.04 cdda2wav toc2cue cdrdao

Asked by Herman

When I try to run Brasero in 10.04, it says I need to install the following applications:
cdda2wav, toc2que, and cdrdao . Where do I find these? I could not find them in the list of packages. BTW, I run Brasero in 8.04 with no problems.

sudo apt-get install cdda2wav toc2que cdrdao

Should install them

Just use a different burner, I've never had any luck with brasero personally and always install gnomebaker or xfburn on my low end systems

Open a terminal from applications→accessories→Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install icedax cdrdao

give your password when requested you will not see any screen chars when you type it then press enter

Hope this helps

Can I install cdda2wav (that is all I need) through GUI? I think that is all I will need. I have a work around to copy to a file on my computer and then copy to disk. But will play only on the computer, not on the CD player. Thanks

Sure, or you can install it with software centre or run:

sudo apt-get install icedax

icedax provides the cdda2wav ability

Apparently it can be installed using a GUI, Now without getting into any termnal stuff, or some other thing, Somebody tell me how to install with GUI. That is with no terminal goop. There must be a way without getting into the Terminal stuff. Is there? Just the GUI. Thanks
