libgstmplex.so

Asked by Allen Harris

Ever since I upgraded to 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) I haven't been able to use Brasero or any other CD/DVD burning software. KPackagekit comes up when I hit the "BURN" button to tell me there are missing files then goes online to search for those files. It then tells me that those files cannot be found. It shows me that the files are "libgstmplex.so" and then shuts down, then a error message comes on to tell me that Brasero cannot find the "mplex" file. I have tried to uninstall then reinstall Brasero but to no avail.

You need to install: "gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg, gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse and libavcodec-unstripped-52"

Also install dvdauthor.

I figured it out. Whatever it was asking me for, I just put it in the search box in the Ubuntu Software Center. I eventually apparently got everything it was asking for from the packages that I installed.
