Bluetooth mouse says its connected but its lying

Asked by TheGingerEffect

I have a dell M1330 with a broadcom wireless and bluetooth chip. I have installed ubuntu before and had my bluetooth mouse work flawlessly. My mouse is a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000, the problem is that I can set up my bluetooth mouse like everything is fine (with the Bluetooth Device Wizard), it even says the connection is successfull but then after my mouse doesn't work. Also the light on my mouse is still flashing afterwords like it is still in discoverable mode (nothing changed) any help would be very appreciated.

Looks like I found the solution, I followed these steps "http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=227057" and searched for hidd in the package manager and downloaded some bluez compatibility tools. The description said they are old and shouldn't be used... but it worked for me....
