bluetooth mouse losing connection, who to report this to?

Asked by sfl

Hi there,

So far I'm only seeing one problem with 15.04. My mouse (apple magic mouse) loses its connection frequently enough to make it almost useless. The mouse paired without any problems (both automatic and specifying the default "00000" pin) and trying some of the advice out there regarding disabling eSCO links (via /sys/module/bluetooth/parameters/disable_esco) didn't change the situation much.

* Checked batteries (just in case, changed to new and tested)
* Tried disabling eSCO /sys/module/bluetooth/parameters/disable_esco
* Tried un-pairing & re-pairing but same problem persists

Of course, I realize I can go out and buy a different mouse but I'm thinking that's probably overkill as I can't be the first person using apple hardware with linux.

If anyone else has encountered this problem before , any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not so sure where to get logs for bluetooth activity (which is why there's no logs/dumps included) but will be glad to collect whatever information is needed to help troubleshoot what's going on here.

Also, if this is the wrong channel (if I need to report it to a 3rd party b/c ubuntu isn't responsible for bluetooth drivers etc.), feel free to direct me there and I'll adress it with the right group.

Thanks in advance!
