Do you dual boot the system?

It also IS detected, it's right there in your output:

ID 0a5c:4500 Broadcom Corp. BCM2046B1 USB 2.0 Hub (part of BCM2046 Bluetooth

No my system run only on Ubuntu. Yes, I know it is already detected by
lsusb but on the task bar on the Unity desktop, bluetooth icon is nowhere
to be seen and the bluetooth app is System Settings says 'No bluetooth
adapter detected.'

Thanks

Yes, the askubuntu.com link that you have provided is mine. Still unsolved over there as well. That's why I am here.

I suggest you report a bug
