MSI CR620 Bluetooth and SD card reader disabled

Installed Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat on MSI CR620 laptop, bluetooth icon is reporting it is disabled. The SD card reader is not working and does not detect any sd cards. I have searched the internet and have found no fix or similar problems,
