How to change the BT device name using the UI ?

Asked by Yuri

On a Ubuntu touch phone, I do not see a way to change the bluetooth device name using the parameters settings. The name come from a config file in the /var/lib/bluetooth/XXXX.../ folder, but changing it by editing the file from the phone is pretty hard (from a terminal, using vi or similar with a virtual keyboard). Is there a way to change it from the graphical interface ?

Noticed the same problem when. The filed does not activate when you click on it under the bluetooth settings.

BTW, changing the name in the config file seems not enough: you have to change also /etc/machine-info which should have the following content: PRETTY_HOSTNAME=you-device-name
Don't forget to stop BT before these changes. To be sure, I performed a reboot after the changes.
