Professional functional package has more introduction about its mechanism is expected

Asked by Panda

For example, the package Blueman is an professional package , before to understand it you need to learn bluetooth mechanism.
I'm confused about PIN with Passkey. If there is an special webpage to teach us how it works, that would be better.

Thanks a lot.

How is Blueman a "professional package"?

What does "Professional package" even mean?

Thanks for your reply. And , sorry , I didn't make myself clear.

There're bugs on blueman( 1.23-git201403102151-1ubuntu1 , The Trusty Tahr), I'm trying to fix it myself, but it's so difficult for me because of I'm lack of knowledge about bluetooth protocol.

So, I think if there is a introduction to show how blueman works with bluelz and bluetoothd that would be much better for me. And the so called "professional deb package" is the program which we need professional knowledge to fix its bugs.

Please don't add stuff to questions that you made up. Just stick to the facts and you will cause less confusion.

Most Bluetooth devices have an inbuilt pairing code. Usually it's 0000 but others (especially phones) allow you to pair by typing the provided number by Ubuntu into the device.

What part of the pairing is tripping you up?
