Home based Ubuntu-cluster for 3D rendering

Asked by Roman M. Bibikov

Hi. I have a quite "fun" question for Ubuntu guru...
Is there any way to create Ubuntu-based cluster (which is consist of a number of PC) for distributed 3D rendering? The goal is create such cluster without modifyig 3D soft (Blender, Maya etc.), i.e. the soft is "thinking" - it works with single supercomputer only. I think maybe it is crossing with some virtualization cases.

Thanks.
