launching Blender crashes Ubuntu 10.4

Asked by scoobs

Am running Ubuntu 10.4 under VirtualBox. Under the previous version of Ubuntu Blender 3d all worked fine. Having upgraded to 10.4 each time I attempt to launch Blender it takes the whole VM down. No other app seems to do this. I have played with the allocation of video memory. The host machine is iMac 24 3.06

Found that disabling native 3D support in VirtualBox solves the problem!

If you enable logging in blender, there may be something at the bottom of the log.

Log a bug too.
