Errno13 message when letting bleachbit run

Asked by Tim

When I run bleachbit to clean up the junk a few of the sections respond with a "errno13:access denied" message. I switch to the Bleachbit as administrator function, it prompts for the password, and then I load Bleachbit and the same same thing happens. I am not good with terminal commands and thought bleachbit to be a good GUI for cleaning APT and BASH leftovers, but this message is bugging me. How can I permit Bleachbit to to it's thing?

Make sure you have as many apps CLOSED as you can when you run it. Having apps open LOCKS the files and bleachbit will not be able to delete the files. Make sure you run the app as both your user and as root to maximize effectivity. Watch the settings for browsers or it will removed settings you want to keep and also avoid settings which sa they will take a long time to run.

Sorry it took awhile to respond, Thanks, actionparsnip, that helped. I was neglectful in closing some running processes. I found too, that if I changed my user status to Administrator under Users and Groups I could access the "locked areas." Just the logs and such, I won't touch the system files themselves.
